For Wes’ birthday, Corey and Daisy bought us all tickets to see the Mets play the Cardinals. It was our first time at the new Mets stadium and we were excited to see it. We had lovely weather, no humidity, about 73 degrees and great seats. The only bad thing was the Cardinals lost 5-0. Wes and Corey were kind of bummed.
This was only my second time seeing a major league ball game. I watch on television with Wes and if I miss a play, there’s always a replay. Not so at a live game–if you miss something, you’re out of luck. I was also surprised how many people weren’t watching the game, they were in line getting something to eat or just strolling around. Of course, there is play by play broadcast everywhere, even in the bathrooms, so you can at least listen to what’s happening. Hearing the excitement of the crowd was fun and there were enough Cardinals fans there that we didn’t feel out of place. I would definitely like to do it again. Are you reading this, Corey and Daisy?
