Last August, when I wrote my blog post for the first anniversary, I wrote the post, and then went looking back through the year for posts to use as links.  I included about a dozen, hit publish and was done.   For the second anniversary post, I went back and reread the entire blog for the past year, looking for posts I wanted to include in the anniversary post. There are 43.  I don’t know whether my posts have improved, my pictures have improved or I’ve become less picky about what I think is worth including. :>)

I  divided them into categories…..

We had family events this year:
A new grandson, a graduation, everyone had a birthday Easter, a parade, my brother visited, Wes and I celebrated our 40th anniversary–the list goes on.

I tried my hand at writing haiku, with some turning out okay and some not so good.

Taking Nature pictures remains my first love:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     A heron, a flower, a butterfly and a spider web are some of my favorite outside pictures this year.

I finished up some quilting projects:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Sandpipers, snowmen, chickens, Up North baby quilts and a couch quilt.  Several more have been started……

The on-line Black and White photography class was awesome. It stretched not only my knowledge, but improved my photographer’s eye.

I took pictures of food from lowly leftovers to grilled delights to soup to dessert.

After reading the whole year’s worth of posts, this one that is my absolute favorite is from Nov 25, 2011.  This blog, my photography and the quilting  would not be possible without my wonderful husband.  He does dishes while I’m out shooting, he helps me figure out the math for my quilts, he helps me with computer glitches–the list goes on and on.

Tomorrow starts Year 3.  I never dreamed it would last this long, thinking I would lose interest after a few months.  There is so much to see and photograph. The blog has become an important part of the way I document my life, by keeping my finger on the shutter.
