chopped carrots

Wes bought this little pot of primroses the other day.  There was a whole display at Adams in many different colors and he carefully picked this pot.  It has lots of buds coming so it will grace the kitchen windowsill for quite a while. When I look out the kitchen window, the deck is still covered with snow, so this spot of bright pink is a hint of spring to come

The second picture is the carrots I was chopping for soup yesterday.  During the same shopping trip to Adams, there was a bag of carrots in all different colors.  I tasted when I chopped and they didn’t taste any different then the normal orange ones, but they added a spot of color to the mushroom soup I was making.
