wine

Another day spent sewing although it was kind of weird.  Cathy had to leave at noon on Saturday to go home for a family obligation and wouldn’t return until this morning. I still enjoyed myself, but it was a different dynamic, not having her sitting next to me.  I took advantage of the rather warm temperature and lack of rain to wander around the yard of the inn and found daffodil shoots coming up.  It’s such a welcome sight to see growing green, finally.

The second picture is the cocktail “hour” before dinner.  Several of the women shared bottles of wine and we sipped before dinner.  Most of the time, I have a mug of tea next to my sewing machine, which goes cold as I stitch.  Having wine there was a new sensation and one I kind of like.
