dye job

Last night I did something I’ve never done before even though I’ve had it done to me a few times as a teenager and many, many times as an adult.  Raven’s roots were showing and she asked me to touch up her hair with dye.  She wants to go a bit lighter than the dark shade she has now, so the roots took very well, but the rest of her hair is still pretty dark.  She has very thick hair, so she bought two boxes of dye and I used it all.  After sitting for 25 minutes, we rinsed and rinsed, conditioned and then rinsed some more.  Raven’s hair feels like silk now and she’s happy with the way the roots are colored, but it will take some time for her hair to grow out enough to be all the lighter color.  Meanwhile, she’s gorgeous!
