avocado

Wes and I took a short walk around the neighborhood yesterday afternoon and I snapped these lavender flowers in my neighbor’s yard.  They grow in clumps and are only a couple of inches tall.  Wes checked the field guide and found they are called bluets.  Someone was really original with naming.

Is there anything better than a perfect avocado?  We still have a surplus of hard boiled eggs from Easter, so I’m getting creative in using them up.  For lunch, I chopped  three whites ( I can’t stand the yolks), smashed in an avocado half, salt and pepper and for a little bite, added some chutney.  With gluten free crackers it was a yummy lunch.
