Wes and butterfly

Thursday morning, we were up early, showered, packed, ate breakfast and after saying good-bye to our hosts, Mike and Pat at the Lighthouse Inn, we were on the road before 9am.  We had a 2 1/2 hour drive to South Deerfield, MA, to visit Magic Wings, a  butterfly conservatory.  Wes and I have been in butterfly houses several times before, but never anything like this.  There were thousands of butterflies, of every size and color, fluttering around.  We walked slowly through the two rooms and then sat on a bench.  The quieter and stiller we sat, the closer the butterflies came, until one perched on Wes and later one sat on my leg.  It was an incredible, peaceful experience and a perfect way to end a lovely four day vacation.
