"strawberry kisses"

Last winter, in desperation, I did a weekly color/colour challenge.  Winter is a hard time to do a daily photoblog, as it’s freezing out and everything is white.  There’s only so many pictures of snow and ice to take before everyone gets sick of them.  Finding the challenge was a life saver from dying of boredom, for me and for my readers, I’m sure.  I just realized the two women are doing a summer color/colour challenge and this week is, you guessed it, red.  Wes washes, hulls and sets strawberries to dry before putting them in a jar.  We find they last several days this way and none get wasted. The first picture is the drying strawberries and the second is the juice marks they left on the paper towel, like lipstick blots or kisses.  It’s a good way to start (even though I’m a little late) red week.

  1. The red strawberries are much prettier than these rainy days!
