Desi and dessert

Corey, Daisy, Desi and a few of their friends spent the weekend camping at North Lake.  Wes and I joined them late Saturday afternoon for dinner.  We shared a  fireplace cooked meal of hot dogs, sausages and foil wrapped veggies, along with pasta salad and cole slaw.  For dessert, in addition to the regulation toasted marshmallows, there was a new twist.  An ice cream cone was loaded with a marshmallow, chocolate or peanut butter chips (or both), raspberries or strawberries (or both), wrapped in foil and grilled until everything melted.  To make it even more decadent, it was then topped with a squirt of whipped cream.  Yummy!  That’s Desi, in the out of focus second picture, enjoying his creation.  The first picture is  Wes and Corey, in silhouette, searching through binoculars for Blackburnian Warblers high in the trees.  They found them and I saw them too — gorgeous birds!  It was an absolutely wonderful evening.
