interesting mushroom

Over the past several weeks, Jonathan has been installing new windows in our house.  He fits it in during his “down” time and usually brings Natasha and Andrew with him, as Shannon works weekends.  Natasha  parks herself in front of my computer, logs on to youtube and uses her Rainbow Loom to make a jewelry, happily amusing herself.  Andrew likes to “help”, so Wes and I take turns amusing him to prevent extra holes being drilled in our walls or paint being applied where it shouldn’t be (for example: on the cat). Wes took Andrew for a scooter ride all around our circle, while I sorted laundry, then I took him outside to explore our yard.  We stuck our feet in the pool (the water has really cooled off or we would have stuck our whole selves in), then wandered around the yard turning over rocks to see what was underneath.  We found lots of different kinds of ant nests, a slug, a few earthworms and various insects.  Then, we turned our attention to the toadstools popping up in the lawn and in the woods.  Once we started looking for mushrooms, it was surprising how many different kinds there was.  Andrew is a delightful little boy, full of energy, and, because we were outside, not full of paint.
