curtain call

Sunday evening, Wes, Raven, Bonnie, Paul, Katie and I packed a picnic supper and headed to Woodstock to see the Bird on a Cliff Theatre Company perform Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.  Attendees sat on blankets or in lawn chairs and sipped their beverages of choice while watching the performance.  None of us had read Twelfth Night in school, so we boned up by reading the synopsis in the program which seemed very confusing.  Once we started watching, we sorted it out, as we could put faces to the characters.  Right in the beginning of Shakespeare’s plays, I have trouble with the speech, but after a few minutes, my brain adapts and it’s easy to understand.  It was a very enjoyable evening with good food, family and a bit of culture.
