Four years and 1454 posts.  For each anniversary, I’ve read through the year’s posts, picked the ones I wanted to highlight, and wrote a long post about the past year.   This year, for some reason, I have no desire to write the long post.  I did read through most of last year, and while the quality of the writing leaves something to be desired, in my opinion, I’m happy with the pictures I took.  There’s always room for improvement though, and that’s why I continue to read photography books and take on-line classes.  My eye is always peeled for a photograph, maybe from a different angle, maybe a bit closer, maybe, maybe…

The top picture is on our deck.  Wes put morning glories there this year, in addition to the in the ex-vegetable garden.  Every morning I enjoy the heart shaped leaves, the flowers of the day, and the way they glow from the inside.  The second picture is from my September LWH, which I hope to have it done to hang in the kitchen by September 1st.

So, even though this anniversary post is short, in the future I’m still committed to observing, writing and keeping my finger on the shutter.
