Tuesday was  a crazy day.  I drove Raven to Columbia-Greene Community College for her first day of classes.  We are giving her my 2000 Honda Accord, but it needs a bit of work, which her father will do, before she can drive it to school.  Wes and I visited Mom in the later afternoon, then had a 4pm appointment to pick up our new car.  We had to learn about the car, sign the papers, go over the manuals (there are so many, they gave us a tote bag) and get a tour of the facilities, so we know what to do when we bring the car for service.  We didn’t leave the car dealership until almost 7pm, with our heads reeling from all the information we had been given.  The car we bought is a Toyota Prius, a hybrid.  It has all kinds of cool features starting with the push button keyless ignition, a dual glove compartment, a USB port for charging my iPhone and more music options than I’ll ever use.  It’s fun to drive and watch how it switches back and forth from battery to gas and how good the gas mileage is.  The car will take some getting used to, but I’m up for it!

The Prius is so shiny and clean that my reflection shows near the rear tire.
