One more day of quilts being aired….in a gazebo along the main street and a bridal shop that draped the quilts on manikins to mimic wedding gowns. On a sad note, the woman who organizes and has run the “airing” has said this will be the last year. She’s done it for 13 years and, obviously, it’s an enormous amount of work. There is a form being circulated in Tunkhannock asking if more people would be willing to help. I hope the community steps up and continues the “Airing.” It would be a shame if something that brings so much pleasure to so many, as evidenced by all the smiles we saw, is discontinued.
