Jonathan and Shannon planned to have an outdoor birthday party for Natasha and Andrew on Saturday. While we can have lovely warm days in October, yesterday wasn’t predicted to be that nice. Wes and I offered to have the party here, as their house isn’t big enough for all the family invited. It did end up being nice, after the rain stopped, but it was still chilly. Jonathan made chili, Shannon made a pan of lasagna and I made vegetarian chili. It was good, warming comfort food and it was all delicious. Dessert was cupcakes that Shannon had ordered from a bakery in New Paltz, where she works. The cupcakes were beautiful to look at and yummy to eat. There was lots of different kinds of cakes and icings and from all the “yums” I heard, every one was good. It was a fun day–good food, good company and good cupcakes!
