field of sunflowers

Every day as I travel Mt. Marion Road on my way to visit Mom, I pass Boice’s farm and I say to to myself, “I have to stop and take some pictures of the sunflowers.”  This has gone on for several weeks.  Finally, yesterday was the day.  The sky was cloudy and I had the time.  After asking permission, I walked from the farmstand to the field.  I had had visions of ambling through the rows and looking for the perfect sunflower.   That idea got scrapped fast when I realized there was probably a million bees on the sunflowers.  Most flowers had at least one and many had five or more.  I was left with aiming my iPhone from the edge of the patch and hoping for the best.
