I always love the day that daylight savings time ends.  It’s an hour longer  and I try to do something productive with the gift of time–besides sleeping. It was too cold and windy to do anything outside yesterday afternoon, so that was a good excuse to sit by my sewing machine and be productive that way.  I am making a new block of the month quilt called “Winter”, and I was a bit behind on the blocks, but not anymore!  The tree and the two snowflake blocks are done and now I am all caught up.

The black and white block on the bottom is another block of the month and this one is certainly odd.  It’s not symmetrical, which I find strange and disconcerting, but it will look fine in the quilt.  Only the December block to make yet and then I can put it together.  I need to have an extra hour every day!
