With the weather supposed to turn much colder on Wednesday night, Wes and I figured we had Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to get an enormous amount of yard work done while the temperature was comfortable. On Monday, I had a medical test, so I wasn’t much help, but he did a lot of leaf blowing and raking. Tuesday, we both raked and picked up leaves all morning before I left to visit Mom and he left for an afternoon poker game. Wednesday morning we headed out to the woodpile to stack all the logs from the trees we took down on Saturday. It took us about 2 1/2 hours, but it’s all done. We even brought wood into the family room to stack by the fireplace. We may have our first fire of the season this weekend. There’s still more leaves to be cleaned up as more fell overnight, but we have a large chunk of it done. Such is the life of homeowners.
