snow covered black eyed Susans

The dishes are done, leftovers put away and tablecloths tossed in the wash basket.  Thanksgiving is over for another year.  It’s not my favorite holiday.  I love the family getting together, but it seems it could be done with a bit less kitchen time. Today, we have the day after–time to relax and enjoy visitors without worrying about feeding them.  There’s plenty of leftovers…..

The top picture is the dessert selection for yesterday and I wanted to sample every one!  The bottom picture is our front garden.  The black eyed Susans are still standing tall, under a layer of snow.  This was snapped as we went out for a walk after dinner, after dark.  There may have a been a few snowballs thrown too.
