On Saturday, we planned a small birthday party for Mom at Ten Broeck. We ordered cupcakes from Deisings and brought tea, water and juice. Being there was a craft fair in the large meeting room, the activities staff reserved the library for us. It was just big enough for our family to sit, eat cupcakes and visit with each other. Mom thoroughly enjoyed having so many of her family around her. Watching her open presents was Nancy, Wes, Bonnie, Paul, Jonathan, Natasha, Andrew and I. She received three pretty sweaters and a lovely purple flowered turtleneck. Mom will be cozy this winter in her new clothes. On Sunday, when I visited again, she was still talking about having so many of her family there. Her actual birthday is not until December 20th, so we’ll be celebrating all week. After all, you only turn 90 once.
Very nice! It truly meant a lot to your mother! Happy Birthday week Olga!
