On any given day or week, I make lists. To be done, to be cleaned, to be bought, to be packed, to be read–I get more pleasure than is probably normal from crossing things off lists. That said, without lists Christmas just wouldn’t happen in this house. We are winding down on the “to do ahead of time” lists and moving toward the “have to be done on Dec. 23 and 24 list. And, in spite of all my meticulous list making and keeping, I know I’ll forget something.
