At least once a winter, when our kids were little, we would have a picnic supper by the fireplace. Hot dogs, baked beans, chips and s’mores was the usual menu. Last night Timothy had dinner with us while his parents went to Tim’s (after) Christmas party. We didn’t do hot dogs and baked beans, mainly because we didn’t think of it in time, so after a baked chicken dinner, we toasted marshmallows in the fire and made s’mores. Except, I found out, Timothy doesn’t like toasted marshmallows. So, he smeared the peanut butter (you know I don’t do anything without peanut butter) on his pieces of Hershey bar and called it dessert, along with a cut up apple. Wes, Raven and I loved the s’mores, without the apple.
