homemade snowflake

This winter I’ve been taking more pictures inside than I usually do.  I have to get outside more, but not today, it’s just too cold.  The top picture was taken yesterday as I returned from my morning walk.  The sun was still low and the light was perfect.  I stood on my front steps and took the picture through the evergreen.

Tuesday evening, I was surfing the web and found the video tutorial to make this fabric snowflake. It looked so easy in the video that I had to try it.  Usually, something that looks easy turns out to be difficult and time consuming. Surprisingly, it was easy and I love how it turned out.
