Leslie and the pink mountain

Our grandson, Desi, loves maps and roads.  Everywhere he goes, he wants to know the names of the roads, then, when you ask him, he will tell you exactly how he traveled to get there.  When he stayed with us a year and a half ago, we would tell him the roads as we traveled.  By the second day, he was able to tell us how to get places and which roads we needed to drive.  On the first day, as we drove down Blue Mountain Road, we pointed out the mountain to our right and told him that’s what the road was named for.  Wes loves to joke with him, and told him some days it’s called Pink Mountain Road or Green Mountain Road, depending on how the mountain looked that day. Desi would get very indignant and said the road is named Blue Mountain Road–period….I thought of him this morning as Leslie and I walked at 7am and the sun was just coming up.
