Cathy and I have been working on a hand appliqued flower quilt for several years. We take it each week to our Thursday night quilting group and stitch. The rule is we can only work on it when we’re together. Tonight we will start appliqueing the sixteenth and last block. Our group is meeting on Saturday also, for an all day sewing session. In order to finish the applique quilt, I have to cut 384 two inch squares to sew into the sashing around the blocks. Cathy has hers cut already. Last night I cut 310 squares, then stopped. I’ll finish today and then take them on Saturday to start making the sashing. It will take awhile.
While I was getting my hair cut yesterday, Wes did all the prep work for a pot of pea soup, He had it all ready to cook, except for the seasoning when I arrived home. Pea soup doesn’t fit this week’s category, but the corn muffins we had with it, do. Mine had blueberries, Wes’ were plain.
