Last Saturday, Cathy had a bit of trouble with her sewing machine while we were at Thursday Night Quilters’ sew-in. It was making an odd noise and the wheel was hard to turn. We can take our machines to Log Cabin Fabrics in Selkirk and the Gloversville Sewing Center picks them up, fixes them and returns them. The next pick up date is February 12th and the return date is February 26th. That’s way too long to be without a sewing machine. Being my machine hadn’t been serviced in almost two years and Cathy’s needed to be fixed, I asked Wes if he’d like to take a “little” ride to Gloversville yesterday. He agreed, so we picked up Cathy’s machine and headed out after lunch. It was a lovely day for a ride. We talked, counted hawks in the trees along the road and in general, had a very enjoyable afternoon. Our machines will be delivered on February 12th, instead of just being picked up. The only problem is –what am I going to do with myself for an entire week with no sewing machine?
The pink fabrics are from the Gloversville Sewing Center. There’s a LOT of fabric in that store!
Pretty in pink! Glad you had an enjoyable ride!
