Happy 9th Birthday Timothy!

Today is Timothy’s 9th birthday. When I asked April what to get him for his birthday gift, she told me that she and Tim are redoing his bedroom in Minecraft decor and a matching quilt would be a great present. I had heard of Minecraft, but that was about it, so I Googled it and came up with lots of images and ideas. I created a Pinterest board with all the ideas so I could have a good reference. Then, I struck paydirt! One of the images I found was a quilt a woman had made for her son of Creeper, one of the Minecraft characters. It was pretty easy to make, all squares, with a varied green background and black squares for his face. I cut it out and pieced it all in one weekend, than gave it to my friend Mary for machine quilting. Last Thursday, she returned it to me and I hand sewed diligently on Friday and Saturday evenings, while watching TV, to get the binding done. Here you go, Timothy, Happy, Happy Birthday!!
