Jessica texted me that she was off on Thursday and asked if she could come over. Happily, I immediately planned lunch with her, also inviting April and making sure Raven would be home. I baked a new recipe of peanut butter bars (yummy), made my grandmother’s recipe for egg soup, cut up veggies for a raw plate and made a batch of hummus. We had a lovely lunch and a rousing game of Phase 10, a long, many handed card game we all like. Jessie was the winner, but she did it gracefully, not holding it over us too much. The flowers are from the bouquet Jess brought me, a happy memory of a good time.
