Cathy and I are headed to New Lebanon, NY today for a quilt retreat weekend. We’ve been there many times before and are looking forward to it. We are actually going a day early, partly to visit two quilt shops on the way up and partly to get a head start on our project. We have been working at our Thursday night quilting meetings on a hand-buttonholed flower project. It’s taken us several years as we can only work on it when we attend the meetings together and Cathy plays in a golf league on Thursday in the spring/summer. Now, we each have 16 flowers appliqued and it’s time to put the quilt together. We each had to cut background strips and 384 various colored two inch squares to complete the quilt. It’s going to be a lot of sewing, but I can’t wait to see it all put together. It’s been stored in a plastic box for far too long.
I am not taking my computer with me this weekend, so my next post will be on Monday morning. Have a great weekend everyone. I will too. See you in a few days.
Have fun! It will be nice to see the finished project!
