Wes and I have a tradition on his, and sometimes my, birthday. We go somewhere for a walk. Whether we go to Ram’s Horn, North Lake, or Poets’ Walk, usually by his birthday it’s nice enough out to walk. This year, with rain predicted for Monday, Tuesday and possibly Wednesday, we decided to walk this past Sunday. But, first, I had to go to Kingston to buy him a birthday present. By the time I got home, it was too late to go anywhere for a long walk, so, the Lighthouse it was.
We have walked to the lighthouse many times. There is always a breeze, usually chilly, but not this past Sunday. The air was perfectly calm, making the walk delightful, as well as making it easy to snap pictures, as everything held still.
I was surprised how many people were still making the trek, in both directions, being it was so late in the afternoon. We enjoyed looking at the green starting to show and Wes had his binoculars to do a bit of bird watching. It was a lovely hour or so that whetted our appetites for more—as soon as it dries up a bit.
Happy Birthday Darling. I love you with all my heart!
