Rainy Days and Mondays….
While I was writing this post on Monday evening, I realized a birthday post for Wes would be much better than documenting a rainy Monday. But, since I didn’t want to “waste” the pictures, I posting them two days later.
Actually, I took the puddle reflection picture during my morning walk on Tuesday, making it back just as the heavens opened again.
The kitchen floor is now clean and shiny and while it dried…..
I ripped an uncooperative seam in my farm wall hanging in order to make it lie flat. I also realized I have a LOT of machine quilting to do on it to keep it lying flat.
On a chilly day, what better meal to have than chili? In this case, sweet potato and black bean. 
And to go with the chili? Corn muffins, of course!
I finished the day out watching TV with Maizie on my lap. She’s shy–growling if a car pulls in the driveway and hiding when someone comes in the house, but when it’s just the two of us here, she’s an affectionate lap cat, even agreeing to a picture.
All in all, a good day, even though it was raining. (except for the mopping)
