Corey, Daisy and Desi arrived a little after noon on Saturday. After a quick lunch, we headed out to the Falling Waters Preserve for a walk. The pictures are not in the order of our walk, but they do show how pretty the preserve is and how pretty the day was.
This is about the half way point. There are logs to sit on and lots of rocks to toss into the Hudson. The second picture has Corey showing Desi how to skip rocks. Desi managed to skip his first one, but none after that, much to his frustration.
Corey doesn’t go anywhere without his bins.
This is the reason the preserve is called Falling Waters. There’s lovely log benches to sit on and watch the water. (You can also throw sticks in.)
This is a resting bench after a particularly steep climb. There is a lovely view of the Hudson too.
You knew there had to be a flower picture too, didn’t you? My first dandelions of the spring–I loved how they bloomed in a circle .
I had planned on taking a bunch of pictures of everybody chatting, but I got too busy chatting and forgot. Wes, with our four youngest grandchildren blowing out candles. It was fun celebrating Wes’ birthday for almost a whole week.
Great day all in all!
