Wes and I drove down to Spring Lake, NJ on Tuesday for a couple days of R and R. After checking into our room, we walked into town for lunch and then headed to the beach. It was 82 degrees and humid, so wading felt really good, even though the ocean is still mighty cold. There were people in wet suits surfing as the waves were quite high. In the second picture the water is swirling around my feet, but I was too busy jumping back from the next wave to take a picture. I ended up soaked to my knees and Wes got wet sneakers.
These trees are blooming all over town. There’s no fragrance, but they are gorgeous!
After dinner at a restaurant called Breakers, we walked on the boardwalk. This picture is taken of the sunset as we were facing east toward the ocean. I love the different pastel colors. When we turned around to walk back to our car, the sunset from the west was pretty too. This blog post is late as the WiFi in this inn is a little sketchy. I’ll post when I can.
