When it’s this hot and humid, I spend as little time as possible outside. I take a walk in the early morning and then stay inside as much as possible. For pictures today, I ventured out as far as our front garden, then scurried back indoors.
The top picture is our newly planted Gerbera Daisy. The second one is the a Peek a Boo flower. I don’t know if it does anything else, like open up, but it’s kind of neat like it is, resembling a wild daisy center, but differently shaped. The third picture is an ornamental grass that we planted three years ago thinking it would only last the summer. I was very surprised when it came up last spring and even more surprised when it came up this year, after all the cold we had. It all spirals, but this is the tightest spiral it’s ever had. Ornamental grasses are cool!
