whipped cream crown

We had a very busy weekend.  Friday night, celebrated Jessica’s 21st birthday with a pizza picnic in Jonathan and Shannon’s yard.  Her birthday cupcakes were cookie dough filled with a cookie dough butter cream frosting.  In the second picture, Jess is getting a whipped cream crown to help her celebrate. Natasha helping prepare Jessie's bd cupcakes

These pictures are a bit out of order. Natasha was a big help making the cupcakes.Desi and Andrew made a nest while watching a movie

Timothy's a swinger

I so rarely get a nice picture of Timothy.  In typical boy fashion, he’ll make a funny face, but this one came out great.  Olivia and Raven

Not having a picture of Raven from Friday, I’m using one from North Lake on Saturday.  She’s pictured here with her friend Olivia.

On Saturday, as much of Wes’ family as could get together, traveled to North Lake for a picnic. Our children, spouses, significant others and all the grandchildren were there.  Wes’ sister Audrey from Florida, her daughter Cassandra and Cassandra’s husband Kamil and their two children traveled from Selkirk, N.Y.  Wes’ brother John  and sister-in-law Ellen came from Saugerties.  Wes’ niece Karen came from Saugerties.  Wes’ cousin MaryAnn , her husband Mike and their son Sean traveled from Copake, N.Y.  There are more cousins, but summer weekends are so busy, it was hard to get a day when everyone was free.  We do have a lunch planned for July 31st in Albany to meet up with two other cousins who couldn’t come.

We grilled hot dogs and hamburgers and everyone brought a side dish to share.  There was delicious food, laughter lots of chatter, catching up, swimming, frisbee, a bit of hiking and promises to do it again soon.

It was a great weekend, and while I didn’t get many pictures, as we were kind of busy, there are lots of new memories.
