Last Saturday, when we were at North Lake, Cassandra and Kamil brought a Turkish dish to for their contribution to the lunch. It was called Mucver. ( There are supposed to be two little dots over the U, but my keyboard doesn’t do that. ) Everyone loved the mucver and I immediately asked Cassandra for the recipe. Late Saturday night, she emailed it to me. As I read it over Sunday morning, I made a mental note to buy zucchini.
Yesterday, Wes and I drove to Gloversville to pick up my new sewing table. (that will be a blog post as soon as I get it all set up). While we were in the car, Cathy texted me and said to stop at her house for some broccoli from their garden. She also said to take some zucchini. Score!!! I immediately told Wes what we were having for dinner. The top picture is the mucver frying. They are absolutely delicious dipped in a little yogurt. Cassandra told me that in Turkey, they are eaten cold, but they taste great–hot or cold. We tried them both ways.
Thanks Cassandra and Kamil for another tasty recipe for zucchini!!
We oven roasted the broccoli and had that for dinner too.
Thanks, Cathy and Dave for the sides for our meal!!
