There was a bit of rain early Saturday morning, just enough to make picture taking fun. The impatiens flowers and buds were all shiny with the moisture. 
The balloon flower was actually a little cup with rain captured in it. 
These balloon flower buds are almost ready to open.
My Aunt Lo used to grow Bells of Ireland every year and I always loved the way they smelled. I’ve tried a few times, but this is the first successful planting. I remember hers as being taller, or maybe I was just shorter. I had to kneel down to catch the fragrance, but it’s exactly the same. In that instant, I was 10 years old again.
