You know at the beginning of summer when you are just dying for a homegrown tomato? And you wait impatiently for the garden to produce or the garden stand to have some? And how good they taste? I didn’t like tomatoes until I was in my 40’s and now, I’m the impatient one, waiting for the gardens to produce.
We went to Story Farm stand yesterday and I was overwhelmed with the abundance of home grown, fresh produce. We are so blessed with our food choices in this country. Please think of that the next time you bite into a tomato, cantaloupe or ear of corn. The green beans at the farm stand this year are the best I have ever eaten. They are picked small, so the beans are not developed, making the green beans perfect.
Summer vegetables–it doesn’t get any better than this.
It sure doesn’t!
