For several years, our refrigerator has been dying. It made a horrible, loud noise every time the compressor shut off. The repairman told us it was dying three years ago, but he also said it could last quite a while. Last Wednesday morning I came downstairs to hear the fridge making a completely new growly noise. Wes and I figured our luck had run out, so we visited Lowes and bought a new one. The only problem was it couldn’t be delivered until yesterday, which was 6 days from then. Our luck really did run out. On Saturday morning, the freezer items were partially defrosted and the the fridge side was only cool. We moved almost everything to the second fridge in the garage, which stuffed it completely, and the produce to a cooler. Then, Wes called Lowes and was told they couldn’t possibly be here before Tuesday. We are such creatures of habit, I had to duct tape the kitchen fridge door shut, because I couldn’t remember to get whatever I needed from the garage. Tuesday afternoon, the new fridge arrived, the ice maker was hooked up and be are back in business. Now, if I could only stop heading to the garage, every time I want something from the fridge!
While we were waiting for the delivery on Tuesday and being it was so horribly hot outside, I sewed. I’m not totally happy with the house block. For some reason, I don’t like the grass/flower fabric I chose and I’m going to replace it.
Feed and Seed. (Hey, I just sew them, don’t name them)
And my new favorite–Gingham!!
I have another one sewn, but have to do a bit of embroidery on it.
