There are outside signs of fall: leaves changing color, pumpkins in the roadside stands and cooler weather.
There are also other, inside and subtler, signs of fall.
A fall scented candle, for instance.
New TV shows and old favorites returning.
Baseball playoffs coming soon.
Sweatpants, socks and Crocs instead of capris and flip flops. (I wore both outfits yesterday)
A flannel quilt.
I pieced the squares together yesterday and will pick up a flannel backing and wool batting this weekend. This will be a very warm, cozy quilt. I can’t wait to snuggle under it.
Signs of fall.

Yes it really is fall! The quilt will be real cozy!
