Wes and I were at Jonathan and Shannon’s house yesterday for an outside kid birthday party. Amid the sack races, pizza, yummy cake and millions of mosquitoes there was sunshine, blue skies and one of the prettiest maple trees I’ve seen in many years. The colors ranged from yellow to orange to red and in the sunlight it was stunning.
Before we went to the party, I worked on my Farm Girl blocks. This hand mixer is darling.
And I love the peas and carrots block too. If you look closely, the green fabric has little swirly circles in the print, making it look like peas from a distance.
I am almost out of cut out blocks, so today it will be back to picking out fabrics and cutting for the next set to sew.
The maple tree would make a great jigsaw puzzle.
