Yesterday afternoon, I was packing (way too much) in my suitcase for the quilt retreat this weekend. Andrew was helping until he found the zipper in the suitcase top and zipped and unzipped it. He asked what the see through zipper part was for and I told him I usually put the book I’m taking with me in there, so I can find it easily. He didn’t say a word, just left the room and I heard him go downstairs. Very quickly, he was back with his favorite Clifford books and Guess How Much I l Love You and he zippered them into the suitcase top. “There, Gramma,” he said, ” I put some books in there for you.”
My heart is full of love for that boy.
