It’s called the golden hour–the hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset when the sun is out, but at a low angle.
Sunrise yesterday morning was at 6:39am and I took the top picture almost exactly an hour later, just making the golden hour. The second and third pictures were taken about 3:15pm and sunset was at 4;40, so I was a little early to qualify for the golden hour. The pictures are still cool, partly sun, partly shade.
And, another block done. This is called Water Turn. I did a bit of sewing in the early morning while it was still chilly out and then went outside with Wes. While he used the leaf blower, I used the rake in places the leaf blower doesn’t work well. Both of us have sore arm muscles. It’s a good thing it’s supposed to rain today.
