We drove to Gloversville yesterday to get the foot pedal on my sewing machine fixed. It turned out to be a much bigger and more expensive problem. John worked on it for a couple of hours while I looked around the shop and we also went to lunch. When we returned, John told us the motherboard needed to be replaced and it would take a couple more hours of work. He also picks up and drops off machines at Log Cabin Fabrics in Selkirk every other week and next Thursday is his time to drop off, so he agreed to drop my machine off there, saving us the drive to Gloversville.
It looks like handwork is what will get done this week. I have this Christmas redwork piece to work on. It’s slow going, so I’m excited to see how much I can accomplish this week. I’m also glad I don’t have any big Christmas projects to finish, or I’d be stressing.
