After dropping Wes off to pick his car up at the garage (again!) yesterday, I drove to Price Chopper the back way. There was a train so I parked the Prius on the side and jumped out to take a few pictures of more “lovely dead crap.” There is lots and lots of bittersweet there, but I enjoy it in the wild. I’m afraid if I bring it in my house the cats will eat it and get sick.
In the second picture, I think is a dried teasel.
Some kind of puffy looking dried flower. It was prickly, not soft like it looks.
More dried weeds, but with the sun shining through them, they’re pretty.
This is the early morning sky from my walk. I never tire of looking at and photographing the sky.
One of the people I follow on Instagram posted a picture and a recipe for this cranberry chutney, and since I adore anything cranberry, I had to make it. It smelled amazing while it was cooking and tasted even better. The recipe is definitely a keeper.
I saw this recipe posted on Facebook–Pumpkin Energy Bites. They came out a bit sticky, so I rolled them in coconut (there is also coconut inside them), but they could be rolled in chopped nuts too. When I experiment with a new recipe, I usually make a single batch, in case it’s awful. I wish I had tripled this one!
