After a very busy six days of shopping, cooking, cleaning, and thoroughly enjoying having family around, it was suddenly quiet in our house yesterday when Corey, Daisy and Desi left. I told Wes that Saturday was my down time day and on Sunday we would make the lists for Christmas prep.
During my downtime, I sewed. I put together the blocks of a Christmas wall hanging. Today, I will buy the batting and ship it off to the machine quilter. I picked out and cut the fabrics for the last 3 Farm Girl blocks and then realized I need 49 blocks for the quilt and I’ll have 50. One will have to be eliminated and that’s going to be a tough decision.
The block above is called Winter Star.
This block is called Wooly Sheep. I couldn’t resist using the fabric with the swirls.
This project will be put aside until after Christmas. Here’s hoping for a few snow, sewing days in January.
