Yesterday was Christmas in the village. Sawyer Motors sponsored a giant toy raffle for all children, giving away many bikes, tablets, Tonka trucks, balls and much, much more. Timothy won a tablet last year and repeated his good luck this year by winning a bike. Natasha smiled gamely with her win of a football, but Andrew was happy with it. It was still very foggy, raw, and cold while the first raffle was going on and I couldn’t stand still any longer–I was freezing. I walked down Main Street and Partition to see what was going on. There were lots of give a ways for children, ranging from churros to large candy canes to chocolate lollipops.
The first two pictures are from the window display at the coffee shop on Partition Street.
The snowmen in the window are a display from the Willow Tree on Main Street. There’s some adorable stuff in that shop!
There was a mini Christmas tree display and judging at the library and Santa was available to take requests at the Kiersted House. Today was small town America at it’s finest.
