My walking buddy, Leslie, is out of town for a couple of days. Feeling very virtuous, I went for a walk by myself yesterday morning. I used to walk alone all the time, but since hooking up with Leslie, it felt weird to be out there solo. I did walk a different route, going up West Saugerties Road to the foot of the mountain and turning left onto Becker Road. The little bridge on Becker Road gives a lovely view of the creek from both sides.
I kept climbing, turning onto Victor’s Lane and eventually coming out on Cole Bank Road where I snapped this picture of the sun through the trees,
and this picture of a circle of grapevines. I kept trying to make it into a heart shape by looking at it from different angles, but no such luck.
I use Runkeeper on on iPhone to keep track of how far and fast I walk, but one of the times I took a picture, I accidentally hit pause on Runkeeper and didn’t realize it until I arrived home. Now, I have to walk that route again, just to see how far it is.
