I’ve had a few minutes here and there this past week, so I took advantage of the fact the blocks were already cut out and ready to sew. It’s nice to sit down at the machine and dive right into the sewing part. With the last three blocks pieced, I have 50 blocks done and I can start putting the quilt together. It will take me a while to decide where to put each block, so I’ll bring my design board downstairs and lay them out on that. It’s much easier to move them around when they’re not on the living room floor. Also, whenever I lay something out on the floor, at least one cat will think it’s playtime and roll around in them. All the animals will get button eyes after the quilt is quilted. Until then, they’ll be blind.
The cat has unsewn buttons, just to get an idea.
Update on the rolls from yesterday. I baked 3 to see and taste how they’d come out after freezing. Raven liked hers, but Wes and I didn’t. Now, I have 45 left in the freezer for when we’re desperate and I’m going to bake rolls from scratch on Christmas morning.
Quilt is beautiful! It’s a shame rolls didn’t come out to your liking after all,the work! Thank you for the cards! They are beautiful. Thank you again for the cookies!
