It’s almost the homestretch. Jonathan hung a new light over the island yesterday. He found it easier to work while perched ON the island.
Let there be light. It’s a lovely light and will be much easier to clean than the light/fan that used to hang there. Meanwhile Natasha did some puttying,
and some painting. She’s painting the trim that goes directly above the cabinets. I didn’t take a picture of it installed as I puttyed the nail holes and they have to be painted again.
In addition to installing the over cabinet trim, Jonathan glued in the kick plate under the cabinets, installed trim around the bottom of the island, and constructed the archway into the dining room. Notice all the tools piled on in the dining room. I have more painting ahead of me this week, but the end is almost in sight——of Phase 1, anyway.
That is a beautiful light fixture.
